Bas-relief oval wall plaque by Duncan Ceramics, showing a Gibson Girl–style portrait with a blue hair bow. The mold design was created by Erma Gilliland Duncan in 1909 and re-issued by Duncan Ceramics Products Inc as a hobby mold around 1975.
This example is a hand-finished cast plaster piece, hobbyist-signed MLL ’77, and back-stamped Duncan Ceramics Prod Inc 1975. Soft ivory and pale green tones suit Art Nouveau and Edwardian décor, while the integrated “gilt” oval frame look makes it ready to hang.
