This is an EAPG antique Dugan Blue Opalescent Keyhole Ruffled Glass style Bowl. Beautiful condition with No chips or cracks. The pattern is called keyhole and color is blue opalescent with a ruffled crimped edge and a doomed-footed base. Sometimes referred to as a novelty bowl, low compote or card receiver. EAPG stands for Early American Pattern Glass. Antique era Circa 1905.
Being an antique item there can be flaws in the glass from the manufacturing and post-production process. There could be air bubbles trapped inside the glass. Mold markings, raised lines which you can see and feel at the base of the glass bowl, where the two halves of the mold meet. Straw-markings or sheer markings where the molten glass was cut or cooled, these can look like tiny cracks but they are not and don’t affect the value of the glass. Scratch’s, marks on the surface, I just see some minor scratches to the inside bottom of the bowl. Pieces of ash or debris, inside the bowl there is a tiny white speckle.
