I love these boots. They're just...cool. I've worn them with jeans, wide leg ankle-length pants, and even a simple farmhouse style dress that I bought in Ireland years ago. They are well-loved, but remain sturdy and in excellent condition. I did switch out the original white laces (which are sadly long gone) for a more streamlined look. I'm only selling them because I injured my ankle and can't wear high laced boots any more, otherwise they would be my forever boots.

jennui @jenniecaplain Hi Jennie, Upon closer inspection of the Duckfeet site, these actually ARE Slate. You can tell from the stitching. The confusion arose because my spouse got these for me as a gift. I always assumed they were black but now we know that they aren't. As you can see on the site, the Slate color has white stitching (as mine do) and the Black have brown stitching. Let me know if you're still interested. I'm updating the listing now!

jenniecaplain Ok cool. I would buy these in heartbeat if they were 38! Trying to figure out if 39’s would work with the wool inserts…

jennui They do run small so if you're planning on wearing them with inserts or thicker socks I feel confident they will fit, especially if your size is normally between a 38 and a 39. If your shoe size is between a 37 and a 38, they would probably be too big.

enthusiasun @jenniecaplain i wear 39 in duckfeet, though i don't have any faborg; i usually wear roskilde for a little more ankle mobility. i do have a pair of odense in 39 though, and as the wool-lined sister of faborg, it is actually way too tough and tight for me. from that experience, i'd wager that 39 faborgs with the wool insert and thick socks would be a lovely fit.

jennui @krista_pagan Hi! I just added some photos of the soles. Remember, Duckfeet have soft rubber soles and they look dirty almost immediately (The soles are also really difficult to clean). But you can see from the sides that they are not worn down or worn through.

michellehayd267 Could you please measure the sole from end to end? I have not worn Duckfeet, usually wear a 39, trying to guesstimate by sole :). Wondering since they are broken in if they might fit... will need insoles for me, for sure.

jennui @michellehayd267 The boots are 11 inches from end to end. They are not loose even though they have been worn. I found them to be surprisingly tight for a 39 but of course everyone is different.
