Dragon's breath open panel hinged bracelet made in Mexico possibly alpaca silver

From the heyday of Mexican silver craftsmanship, this "dragon's breath" -- opalescent foiled glass -- bracelet of four panels and four oval stones wears lightly on the wrist. The mark on the tongue-and-clasp closure shows it to be made in Mexico but does not note it to be silver, hence my thought that it might be "alpaca silver," a nickel-based metal with a matte sheen. A couple of the domed parts are "dimpled," as you see, by virtue of wear. Your questions welcomed.
