Doulton Toby Character Dick Turpin Jug Mug Small

Vintage Royal Doulton Toby Character Jug- 2-1/4" - Dick Turpin - with the handle shaped like a pistol - D6128. The ever adorable little Toby Character Jugs are great to collect. This one was designed by Charles Noke and Harry Fenton. It was made in various sizes. They are made of Porcelain and this one is only 2-1/4" high and 2.75" from the end of the spout to the tip of the pistol. This character jug depicts Dick Turpine the Notorious Highway Man. His name DICK TURPIN is embossed in the bottom back under the pistol in the green. He is marked on the bottom "Royal Doulton" with the lion and crown and the letter "A" dating it between 1939-1955. He is in excellent condition without any nicks, chips or repairs nor any crazing.
