This is such an unusual, unique piece from German porcelain manufacturer Bauscher Weiden. I have searched for the exact date of manufacture as well as the purpose for a double/twin spout teapot. I'm actually wondering if it is a sauce/gravy boat because the spouts serve as a way to separate the fat from the lean. Notice the two labels at the top. Fett means "fat" and mager means "lean." If anyone has any information to add, please notify me.
It is in great condition, other than a chip on the lid which would not affect the performance. I tried to get a photo. There is a chip by one of the lips that lock the lid in place.
The backstamp would seem to date the piece to between 1920-1941. I'm going by a backstamp from an old stein as a reference. Still, it is very unique and quite rare from the standpoint that I have only seen one other available at another site.
The company has a very long tradition of porcelain works in Germany. It is a beautiful piece and would be quite a conversation piece.
It stands about 6" in height and 7" in width from spout to spout.
