This merlot-colored Vince sweater is equally suitable for sitting in front of the fire as it is hosting a work meeting. Who knew that a cozy pullover could be as roomy and comfy as it is elegant? A clever illusion makes this sweater look like two pieces. That is, a Johnny collar is overlayed with a ribbed V neck. Similarly, at the bottom hem and sleeve hems, a ribbed cuff peeks out from beneath a cuff made of a chunkier ribbing. This piece is a medium. However, be aware that the fit is generous. I am 5'8" and 145 pounds, and I find this sweater too roomy in the arms and torso. I bought it new last year and cut the tags off. However, I decided it was too big on me and never wore it. The color, in Vince language, is "black rose." However I would call it burgundy or wine colored. Here's what the original description from Vince says, in part: "Fine-gauge knit from wool and cashmere, our relaxed V-neck is designed with a tonal knit Johnny collar and doubled cuffs and hem to create the appearance of two sweaters layered together. * Slips on. * Fully fashioned. * Rib-knit trim.... * Hand wash cold. Do not bleach. Reshape and lay flat to dry. Warm iron if needed. Or dry clean. * 70% Wool, 30% cashmere [that's for the body of the sweater; the ribbing also has some nylon and spandex] * Imported."
