Dorset Rex MCM Gold Metal Basket Weave Box Purse Handbag #P-3

This is a vintage Mid century modern (1950's) Dorset Rex of Fifth Avenue, gold color metal, basket weave, box handbag/purse. The purse has a amber lucite lid and handle. The metal shows no signs of tarnishing, and is free of bends and dents The front locking mechanism is in good working condition. The red fabric interior lining is clean but does have bleached looking spot about the size of a half dollar, in the corner. (See pictures). Does have the original Dorset Rex sewn in label. The hand bag measures approximately 6" deep, 8.75" length, 3.50" width. For a 70 year old purse it's in good shape. The lucite lid and handle has very minimal scuffs and scratches, but does have a few. The metal is in good condition, does have a few scrapes and minor scratches, which in no way detracts from the look or function. See pictures for best description . Feel free to ask questions.
