This was one of the first of the Alto Collection nearly 25-years ago and still going strong. None of the rugged all-weather leather here, the Italian designers instead chose exceptional Vachetta leather in a rich matte finish, hand stitching, and silver-plated brass hardware. The color on these bags also darkens over time and the scuffs/scratches tend to blend in if rubbed rigorously, which gives each bag a unique look. I don't think the bag was used much, but it has acquired scuffing, scratches and uneven color. In general, the flaws are from shelf wear and the aging process of the Vachetta (now called Italian Florentine) leather. The deeper scratches in the back though may come from a cat? There's also a natural darkening of the leather. The interior looks very clean. PS I'm also selling the Alto Pyramids in red & green
