What would you like me to lower it to? It's $195 right now." And to my dismay she never replied because I was ready to ream her! And thanks to @manymurrays I did post 🚫trades 🚫pp on every item. It lessens the dumb occurrence of "trade?" But I still get it. I never got Paypal as much. I saw someone make a post like "I still don't trade" and that's it's posted all over their closet. I almost butted in because someone wrote that when they are searching for something, they don't check the closet for rules. Well, they should! And they are posh rules as well! People just want a good deal. I'll ask for an even $43 to make it $40 or so right before I buy. But this mentality of a flea market is terrible. Last example, someone politely corrected someone who was rather new that it was rude to try to bargain a $15 bag. The person stated they read before Poshing that "negotiations were the norm." Smh

That's all I commented back and she had the nerve to say "well it's not worth the $180, its not even a good brand!" Mind you it was a DKNY leather bag. So I responded "you're right! It's actually worth $360 original price, please go be cheap somewhere else!!!" It's like people are wanting expensive items for dirt cheap. I'm not trying to make some gigantic profit, I'm just trying to do the best I can to ease the financial burden that my family has since I cannot be out there in the job world yet. I try my best and am usually very polite to these penny pinchers, but sometimes you know they're just tryin to bust your balls! 😳

PmM says its so your newsfeed doesn't get clogged, but it still shows in the main feed. Then how does the other person know you shared? I repeat share a lot off the top of someone's closet.

allisonopre I love all of you! I've noticed that if I ask for a bundle they already lower their price for me automatically. I do the same...why lower my prices anymore when I've already lowered them! I need to make some money off of my items just like everyone else....which is why I'm selling these items in the first place. As to early comments, I've seen "adult" toys and games sold on here as well. Underwear without tags is sketchy to me...even if you say they're new...how am I supposed to be sure of that? I had one lady ask me how much it would be for a bundle of 8 shirts and backed out because she had purchased a bundle of 6 shirts for a way cheaper price and was looking for better deals than what I had to offer. Umm, I already reduced my items to sell and reduced in a bundle for her. People are ridiculous sometimes!

If u are selling ie a purse and someone asks you to go lower or you want to tell them your lowest message them from another item or make a blank item (notepad) and negotiate there instead of within the purse post itself. Most people on here will get your message under a random item or blank item space like this.

wasabigirl @vdsmay No worries. Let the buyer, if they don't know, that you will create them a bundle. You create a new listing and post pics and list all the items they want for a new price. The individual listings I go in and write SOLD in the title and add a few zeros to make it expensive so people will notice and not buy. If you go to the bottom of my page you can see examples of bundles I've made. Usually, I create a new profile shot.

And in the end she said sorry I can't afford it..WTH, wasted my time looking at my items and taking new pictures for nothing, I'm selling my coach bag great condition for $95.. Bought it for $299 she asked if I could go lower to $65 so I said ok, then asked another item fossil watch bought it for $125 selling it for $50, she asked again if I could go $25, I said ok, then Antonio Melani bag bought it for $55 selling it for $15, she asked $10, I said ok, then last one another Antonio Melani bought it for $95 selling it for $20 she wants $10.. Then she didn't respond for about 2 hours so I message her again if she still interested, she asked how much.. I said $110, then she ignored me again for 30 min, and then asked again if I could do $75 for all 4.. I said OMG IM NOT GIVING MY THINGS AWAY FOR FREE.. It's like the other 3 items are free, then she responded no thank i don't have enough money..WOW THAT WAS CRAZY..

kcc2010 Some of these comments are rude. Some people may not be able to afford certain things and it's not a crime to ask. I am shocked how many insensitive people are on here. Yes sometimes it is a bit irritating when people say crazy low prices but it doesn't mean they need to be made fun of. This to me just isn't the poshmark spirit.

wasabigirl @kat_kennedy I blocked the person above. I think her comment was rude to come to my page and tell me about "Poshmark spirit." The spirit is the shopping and finding a good deal for something you like, but this isn't a flea market. $5 is reasonable leeway, but offering someone half or less of what is listed? If you don't have money move along. Same as if you were at Nordstroms. I try to negotiate elsewhere too, especially if I know they aren't serious buyers. I've had to relist items before for that same reason.

musepittsburgh I've had my first rude comment the other day...some girl posted on my listing for the JC boots and said they were the most ridiculously ugly boots ever - on top of which her grammar wasn't even correct! Anyway, somehow the comment was deleted. I do not know why people do that. I mean, we all have our own sense of style. There are items listed on PM that I would never wear....but I would NEVER make a rude comment!! I've seen several people commenting about run-ins with rude users lately...what a bummer!!!

mommy2007 @wasabigirl I hear you, the shipping charges at some sites are outrageous, I had a cute sweater I bought at full price, never used and had listed for 35. I thought I'll price close to what I paid and get about 70% back after posh fees. Not only did this lady say she had found it cheaper she wanted to know how much more I could reduce the price for her. I proceeded to tell her she was better off buying there. And then on my rules listing told her she did not need to purchase from me and to please not make it more difficult for me to sell my things just rude. Out of curiosity I went to the site she named, not only was it not cheaper the shipping fees and taxes made it more expensive then what she would have paid me and Poshmark. Did not hear from her again. And of course relisted and thankfully sold. Don't give up. You have a solid closet, good prices. And best if all good sense of humor!

So I politely informed her I paid 8.75% tax. Which if I took her on her offer, after posh's 20% I would have been in the hole like $1. People have entitlement issues that's for sure!

Not on here but I have some of my stuff listed on you-know-where as well and a lady asked me if I'd sell her this pair of shoes for $19 (the starting bid) and include free shipping! Well the shoes are going to be about $12 to ship because they're heavy so that leaves me with $7, then minus the other fees...I'm basically paying her to take my $60 worn-only-once pair of shoes from me. ritzeerebel I had someone once not even respond to a counter offer on eBay...I had $15 as the price, they offered $8, I countered with $10 (and mind you this was with free shipping) and they never even bothered to decline so it just sat there and I had to wait 3 days for it to expire. Some people! Sometimes I think they just make offers on a lot of stuff and see who takes the bait.

But I did shop on here on ambien a few nights ago and made some offers. Never less than $10 off the asking (I don't think). The entire thing was just a ginormous train wreck of freakish over-reacting, bizarro justifications, & then ending in just plain old TERRIBLE customer service lolz! And they thought it was cool to respond by going apesh1t on the buyer bc somehow they should've use their telepathic powers to know the buyers sister/the buyer (I think it was purposefully vague lolz) was in the hospital!? But they just cancelled the sale & the bag what? Right! It evaporated into thin air lolz! Prob where it was the whole time! Oy! Yeh, had to tag you on that lil display of when dumb meets dumber lolz...;)!

When I was gearing up to host my 1st party, I actually found not only a breast pump, but a USED breast pump & ALL the lovely accessories it came with, ya know, used baby bottles, used nipples, used extra poop bags, all the necessities for a good old night of pumpin! While I try to stay outta reporting people bc I would rather tell them bc I'm too nice then show them, I REALLY wanted to on that one! As far as the "low balling" issue is concerned, I've embraced a new tactic that is actually been quite beneficial! When someone asks me that question👆 I inform them nicely that I am "happy to accept offers!" Basically, I turn it RIGHT back round to them. Typically, (an this is only IF they respond, which I've found with this question they more often than not actually will) they reply with either saying they are too afraid of saying their offer bc they don't want to offend me by low balling, or they say they can't afford it & will be back when they can. I've found that most "low ballers" (and there is this one chick who's NOTORIOUS for this) like to just throw out a ridiculously low price, throw a question mark at the end & then evaporate into thin air :)! When I get a low Baller who admits yet are afraid of commuting the act of low balling, I encourage them to do so! Heck, I say it takes ballz to be that cray! I even tell them so! I also tell them the worst that could happen is I say no, and that's that! But here's where it actually WORKS m'ladies.... After they commit to a certain still kinda low ball offer, but not out of the realm of possibilities, then they are mine! So for example, when I've posted an item that I believe I can sell for a high price tag & it fails to get any attention, likes, or HP's, & it comes time to eventually admit defeat, THAT is when I hit up my low ballers! I say, "Hey! Remember how you said you'd pay ____ much? Well, if you add $5 to that, I will let you have it!" And they think they are getting a great deal (which they likely are, at least in my case), and I get to unload something for yes, less than I'd hoped, but not enough that an extra $30 couldn't help me out because hey, it's better than what I'd get at Buffalo Exchange & requires less effort than eBay, so in the end, low ballers can, IM(humble)O actually benefit your sales in this sort if win-win scenario! Anyhoo, that was a mouthful lolz... This post is so long I'd love to tag all the ladies to whom my "point" or rather "counterpoint" lolz would be relevant, but that'd take me some time so @wasabigirl feel free to tag others! My number one pet peeve is poor spelling! There's no excuse for it with autocorrect being so rampant nowadays & ESPECIALLY when it's some super pricey designer like the MANY misspells I've seen of "Christen Labootin" or "Loui Vitton" lolz! My number two peeve is when I'm asked to do a NUMBER of super time consuming tasks & errands only to be either lowballed, the potential seller completely disappear altogether, or tell me they will pay "on blank day after I get my paycheck" which never, EVER, comes :). One method I've found extremely effective in these scenarios (although bc of my pathetic need to please is OFTEN violated by myself again & again & again), is prior to taking the measurements requested or pics requested or my most recent "does it have a vintage scent or odor?" request (lolz), one can weed out the vapid or slightly careless by simply asking first, "Are you serious about purchasing this item today?" Their response is usually VERY telling & they tend to either cower back & say to forget it altogether because they don't have the money but were just "curious" OR, they say they are or they "will be next week when I get my paycheck" (RED FLAG)! Try it out ladies! Works like a charm! I personally suck at this & have gone as far as having my neighbor endure one of my photo shoots to show how insanely stretchy a top I was selling truly was! However, in that instance I had received so many questions asking that exact same thing, it was more my doing than any request from a buyer. And it worked! But not always! Like when I was asked how "long is this from the middle to the bottom?" REALLY!? Let me just take out my spectrometer lolz... I created an entirely new listing only to be told she could only pay 1/3 the lowest price for just that item which I'd offered to lower or her bc it included a bundle. Yeh, that was rude. Greatest moment of selling history was when I'd been going back & forth with this chick on price & details & pics & measurements & everything you could think of for literally THREE weeks (this was also back when I didn't know any better and still allowed Holds, which I know have dubbed the "Kiss of Death"), and I told her I was taking it off hold and that if she did not reply there was a good chance it could be snatched up. Now, I had received several serious comments so that was what I meant, but I wasn't exaaaactly aware if be selling it very soon. Once again, she told me she could pay a ridiculously lower amount than anything we'd even discussed before, it was outta left field cray cray, I said I couldn't & she agreed (for the 3rd time) she'd buy it at our agreed upon price the following week. I told her this time I would NOT be placing it on hold again as I'd turned down two serious buyers already, only to find out she wasn't willing to pay close to what they were, so she agreed to that & then, it happened. The day she was "supposed" to buy the item I sent her a lil reminder & she wrote she was suddenly deciding btw this item we'd now spent almost a month haggling on, and some new crap she found for (I kid you not) 5x the price I was asking or mine!? I was preparing my somewhat irritated response which included my frustration for holding it so long & missing out on other possible buyers when BOOM! Suddenly I see not only is the item bought, but it's bought at the inflated price I'd created for her while on hold!? The buyer sent me just some quick note like "saw & had to have thanks!" I was so friggin happy! The icing on the cake was when I sent her my FINAL message where I apologized but acknowledged I had warned her this was possible and she responded "It's ok, I wasn't going to buy it anyway, I found something I liked more online even though it's (5x more expensive). Thanks!" Yeh...simultaneous best & worst selling moment for me! That's now happened four times where I've been mid-negotiation & the item is snatched up! It's ALWAYS good times! Bottom line (to this probable longest text I've EVER sent bc I'm getting my radiation therapy & am bored as heck), serious buyers BUY. They do it fast, they ask maybe one or two questions, and they don't want to haggle much. Anything more than this & they either aren't serious or they believe they are but really aren't, ya know, when their ever-illusive "paycheck" arrives & reality sets in. So that's my two cents! Albeit, more like $200 lolz! Don't smear my name ladies this is a sacred space & judgement free zone lolz!? Right?! ;)! ❤️✌️👯 Cheers!

wasabigirl @shell143 I don't think what you are saying is rude. It's a nice way of letting them know you are aware and ready to help. I will offer a bundle deal if they have a few likes. I'm against the long winded as listed above. I mean we all bundle and give deals, but you know what I mean. You should try following more people. You can go to my followers list, or anyone else's and follow follow. Most will follow back. And also share everyone's listings as most share back. It takes me a few hours just to share back and get caught up, so I don't share that much outside my feed. The sharing this is tedious, but that's the way more people will see your stuff and share and the right buyer will see it. Like I share your stuff, potentially 50k see it, some will share, follow, like. It's a tedious cycle. Haha.
