If ground is not wet, you even do not need to add water as the package recommends. It cleans big chunks of crass, clumps of ground. Of course if my greyhound runs full speed on mud, nothing but a shower can help. But after a regular walk it works great before jumping back into the car or stepping into the house. It is really light and easy to take with you for a walk or travel. Another thing I discovered: size that matters is how long your dogs paws are or will be one day. Because it is so soft inside that a large dog easily fits in a medium size cup. So if you are buing in for a puppy, plan on how long the legs gonna be one day. The silicone scruber cup easily turns into a brush or scruber to bath the dog. So it is really two in one!
