Disney's Inspector Gadget VHS Movie

Inspector Gadget (1999), directed by David Kellogg, is a live-action comedy film based on the popular animated TV series. The movie stars Matthew Broderick as the bumbling, well-meaning, and hilariously ineffective detective, Inspector Gadget. The film follows John Brown, a kind-hearted security guard who is severely injured during a confrontation with a criminal mastermind, Dr. Claw (played by Rupert Everett). In an effort to save him, a team of scientists rebuilds John using advanced technology, transforming him into the world's first bionic detective—Inspector Gadget. Equipped with an array of gadgets that pop out of his body at will, including a helicopter hat, extendable arms, and a never-ending supply of tools, Gadget is ready to take on crime and stop Dr. Claw's evil plans. However, Gadget’s newfound powers come with a cost. He struggles to control his gadgets and is constantly making mistakes, causing chaos wherever he goes. Meanwhile, Dr. Claw is plotting to create a more powerful and dangerous version of Gadget, intending to use it for his own evil purposes. Despite his awkwardness and constant mishaps, Gadget's determination and good heart help him uncover Dr. Claw's scheme, and with the help of his assistant Brenda (played by Joely Fisher) and his niece Penny (played by Michelle Trachtenberg), he must stop the villain and save the day.
