Coach was unable to fix it when I sent it to Coach repair. Unfortunately, they do not repair limited decoration hardware for patches but if you go to a craft store, you may find some type of coil string and can bring it to a good cobbler or bag repair, they may be able to fix the patch. The patch is fixed onto the bag even without the coil.The patch is stuck onto the bag and sewn on. It does not affect its functionality in any way. It just does not have the coil. It got snagged on my sweater years ago and I had to remove it because of the damage. I bought this bag from the retail store when the Minnie mouse dots Limited release was out. It is a limited bag and hard to find. I also had the hangtag hot stamped at Disney Springs with a gold yellow Mickey head.
