Designer Paul Louis Orrier Optical Illusion Velvet and Silk Dress & Jacket Set

Early 1980s French designer, Paul Louis Orrier, dress and jacket set. This incredible optical illusion set is made of jet black silk with jacquard blue and red stripes. The color of the stripes and diagonal placement create the iridescent purple affect. The dress has a velvet camisole bodice shaped with boning inserts, side zip closure, and self tie belt. Both pieces are lined in black silk. Made in France. The only sign of wear is a dime size area on the front of the dress I can only describe as a snag. It's not a hole - just a little blemish on the surface of the fabric. See last photo.
