Hanging on a clear wire so it looks like they are floating in the air.. Look at pics for size of the whole piece and the ghost.. Takes 3 AA batteries, which don't come with them.. There's no hook or anything on the top to hang just string, but you could add one so it makes it easier to hang.. I think these lites are for indoor use only..not exterior..
