Retired, Department 56, 1995, THE MALTINGS, part of the Heritage Collection. This Christmas Village building was used to roast or malt barley for brewing beer and ale. It is a home, shop, and bridge in one construct of stone, stucco, and wood. Large doors allow carts to enter. In original styrofoam but missing the box. Part of the Dickens' Village, a step back in time to 19th century Victorian England. This series portrays enchanting London & surrounding countryside as it was during Dickens' lifetime.
