A nostalgic lighted building from Department 56’s Dickens’ Village Series, The Melancholy Tavern evokes the charm of a Victorian-era tavern scene with hand-painted details, snow-dusted rooflines, warm glowing windows and festive holiday spirit. Introduced May 2003 and retired December 2005. This example comes with its original box, fitted styrofoam insert and working light cord. The ceramic structure is sound, all windows illuminate correctly and no major chips or cracks are visible. Box shows typical shelf wear.
