Delicate Ornate Sterling Dangle Earrings with Emerald Colored Inlay

These delicate dangle earrings in sterling are set with small shiny cabochons in a deep translucent emerald green. The pair weighs 3 grams and each earring measures 36 x 14 mm. "925" is stamped on the wire. I cannot tell what the cabochon is: stone, resin or glass? Its edge is cut and chipped ever so slightly along the cut, indicating it was fitted into place, not poured like enamel. It looks glassy and is translucent; the green is pure and mysterious. It suits the setting perfectly. Is it an emerald? I do not know. It is cool to the touch at first but warms quickly, maybe because it's so small. Or because it's resin. I don't know! The featherweight sterling dangle, luminous cabochon, and French hooks are all finely made and reward close looking.
