This 1933 first edition instruction book for the De Luxe Plymouth Six is a remarkable relic of automotive history. The brown cover exudes vintage charm, reflecting the era's craftsmanship. A must-have for collectors or enthusiasts of classic automobiles, offering a glimpse into the mechanics and ownership of Plymouth's early six-cylinder model.
The Plymouth Six was a response to the growing demand for six-cylinder engines, which offered more power and smoother operation compared to the four-cylinder engines that were common at the time. Chrysler borrowed the six-cylinder engine design from its sibling DeSoto brand. The 1933 Plymouth Six was available in two trim levels: the base model and the De Luxe, which had a longer wheelbase.
Plymouth continued to be a major player in the American automotive market until the late 1990s. However, due to a lack of product differentiation and changing consumer preferences, the brand was withdrawn from the market in 2001.
