Beautiful dress altered to be sweetheart neckline. Found one I liked that looked just like this for $2800 and found it at David’s bridal for $400 and had it altered to make it sweetheart for $200. Crinoline for free ($60)! Bustier ($50) sewn in also included. Size 4 altered to size 2.

jendavis11 hey, I bought this in a size 4 but it is way to big. I am generally a 0/2 xs/s 34b 25/26 depending on the pants but long story short I took a shot and Got the 4. its not returnable and no longer available so yours may be perfect. so question is, are we about the same size? and did you put a bustle in it and did you have it shortened? I am 5'4. thanks, I am really interested in this if it will fit better!

axelmarie @jendavis11 hi! I am also 5’4” and wore 4-5 inch heels. I can’t remember if it had to be hemmed but I’m assuming so. In the pictures I forgot the crinoline that goes underneath! Just a side note I did have this converted to sweetheart neckline so it may not be the exact same dress! I also bought a 4 and had it taken in to fit. At the time of the wedding I was a 25, now more of a 26. When I got fitted I would say I was between the two sizes. Let me know if you have any more questions!

axelmarie @jendavis11 the answer to the bustle is yes and no.. I did not have a bustle added, I just looked up how to make a loop and added a very small loop and hooked it to one of the buttons... so kind of yes kind of no. When it’s down it does not look like a bustle has been added. I never wore it down I don’t think... the “bustle” I had looked great too! As for the other sizes it sounds like we are the same size!

axelmarie @jendavis11 now that I’m thinking about it I do not think I had it hemmed because it was going to be another $100 and with taking it in and the sweetheart added it was already $250. It was quite awhile ago though and I had four (😱) wedding dresses so sometimes they blend together. All I know is I’m 5’4” and with my heels it was great!

jendavis11 @axelmarie haha wow thank you, that helps a ton. Yeah the dress I have is not a sweetheart neckline so I bet it’s the same one. I am going to look at a few more dresses tomorrow just to see what else is out there’ but I may just go with yours. Thank you so much. And yes that hem is way expensive.

axelmarie @bbarber1289 the belt does not come off—it doesn’t actually tie, it’s seen on completely. You may be able to zoom in and see that in the picture of the back. Make an offer and I’ll let you know but trying to stay close to that price 😊
