Cocktail ring Designed by David Webb (1925-1975).
Beautiful and colorful collector's piece, created in New York city, at the jewelry telier of David Webb. This gem-set cocktail ring has been carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and platinum and are mounted, with a great selection of natural gemstones.
Bezel set on top, with one pear cabochon cut (8 x 5 x 4.2 mm) of a natural Colombian vivid green emerald of 1.35 carats.
Embellished, with a pave setting composed by 13 round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.30 carats, F collor, VS-2 clarity
Has a total weight of 18.8 Grams and the actual size is 7.25, sizeable. The top view measurements are 19mm by 24mm.
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold and platinum assay hallmarks and signed, "WEBB 18 KT PLAT".
David Webb (1925-1975), was an American jeweler. On July 28, 1948, he founded David Webb, the company, which opened at 2 West 46th Street. Among his clients were Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Barbara Streisand and Beyoncé have also worn his jewelry.
Born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1925, Webb was a self-taught designer whose work included dragon bracelets, Maltese cross brooches and animal motifs. In 1964, The Duke of Windsor purchased a bracelet for his wife. Diana Vreeland, a noted columnist and editor of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, was often seen with a David Webb black-and-white enamel zebra bangle.
