Heritage “style” boots. Not worth what they cost —$400 at the time, can’t believe they are sold for $470 now. What a scam — therefore priced what I think they’re worth, all things considered:
PROS
Gore-Tex still functional (just tested)
No delaminations along outsole or midsole
No broken stitching
No cracked leather (was always proactively cleaned and conditioned)
No tearing on inner sock liner
Some built in comfort from synthetic materials, which appear mostly resilient
***Resole-able****
CONS
Very particular last: narrow toe-box with not enough height throughout for full length insole (arch inserts work fine). ONLY FOR SOMEONE WITH A NARROW FOOT, who would typically wear between 11-11.5, not 11.5-12.
Worn outsole on heels (however, overall still perfectly functional
Some wearing-off and chipping of black leather polish, and although they supposedly are meticulous with picking their pieces of full grain leather during construction, I don’t see anything particularly special about it.
***Please consider all details presented to avoid disappointment before making decision***
Would still probably make fine boots for life for the right foot (not my frog toes). See webpage
