Daddy’s Long Legs collectible doll Micah certificate of authenticity NWT

This is Micah a Daddy's Long Legs Doll. He was first introduce in 1993. He was retired August 1996. He is 14" tall. He is dressed in brown pants with brown suspenders, cream shirt with a black bow tie. The star of authenticity is on his pants waistband. On the back of Micah’s shirt sleeves are some stains, from age.. He is in excellent condition. Daddy's Long Legs is an original series of Black Americana dolls that are hand sculpted using clay, then reproduced in a wood resin composition. Although the dolls are made from molds, each one is slightly different. They are individually hand painted by artists, dressed in their appropriate attire, and given distinctive accessories for the period they reflect. These dolls are no longer produced and rare to find one brand new.
