8 Vintage Tarzan TANTOR elephant wind up toys Wind tail and it vibrates/bounces across table Great for a collection, resale or to get some giggles from kids. Tantor, the elephant from Disney's "Tarzan", was featured as a Happy Meal toy by McDonald's in 1999. These toys were wind-up figures, allowing children to make Tantor move by winding up his tail. Says on them: Burroughs and Disney Tarzan MFG. for McD. CORP. From Wikipedia: ‘In Burroughs's works a number of elephants appear under the name of Tantor, most notably one particular bull elephant the ape man befriends in his youth in the first Tarzan novel, Tarzan of the Apes and in the 1999 animated Walt Disney film he is a red African forest elephant and friends with the ape Terk.’ They are in very good condition - a few have small scrapes from rubbing each other in box.
