Chinese-American artist David P.H. Wong was born in Canton, China in 1949. He started painting at age 8 and was accepted to art school at just 15. He was one of the first Chinese artists to paint in oils in the Western style which got him into trouble with the repressive government. At 20, David left China for Hong Kong and soon had his own studio. After 8 years, in 1977, he moved to California where he has sketched and painted in complete freedom for almost 50 years. This collection features and original signed pencil sketch and three glossy photos of some of his paintings. Each photo has been signed in gold paint pen. The sketch measures approximately 2.75 inches tall by 11 inches wide and each photo is 3.5 x 5.5 inches. They have all been matted together to approximately 10.5 x 28 inches.
