It had a few pen marks on the inside of the edge of bag. Well, I tried to get them out and I lightened the leather in 2 spots. This bag may have gold loss on hardware, rubs, subtle spots and wear. It still looks like a beautiful bag. No odor. It is a great bag to use when you want items secured and it is a hardworking bag that will take you rough locations and stilll be pretty. As is.
