This is no cheap mass produced outfit, but a magnificent layered costume crafted with love and care. Base material is a rayon blend that drapes elegantly without being too heavy. The layers: 1) Long yoked skirt with center back zipper. 2) Boned lace-up corset bodice with giant bell sleeves lined in a golden satin. 3) Sleeveless collared overdress fitted on top with an open-front skirt. Fastens in front with hooks and eyes. 4) Sculptural belt that laces up in back through grommets. All pieces of the costume are in excellent condition except the lacing on the belt which is not a sturdy material and is unraveling. This will need to be replaced. Fit is for a contemporary 6-8. The overall ideal measurements: Bust: 38+ Waist: 29” Hips: 38+ Length: 54-55” from collar fold The trickiest part of the fit will be the bodice. The shoulders don’t hold on this form (I had to pin them in place) as they sit a bit too high and wide. I measured the shoulder width at 16 inches, but this may depend on torso length. I’m happy to provide other measurements as needed.

margaretsherbou Can you give more details on the fabric content? You state rayon blend, what are the other percentages. Thank you.

alikazam65 @margaretsherbou Hello Margaret and thank you for your inquiry. I just measured the outer piece of the costume and got 17 1/4” from shoulder to waist and 38” waist to hem.

alikazam65 @margaretsherbou In terms of the fabric, I do not know the exact content. I bought this originally from the woman who made it but the material was not identified. I determined rayon from the weight and the way it drapes. There may also be some cotton and perhaps some synthetic. I added a video in the listing of me handling fabric if that gives you more sense of it.

alikazam65 @margaretsherbou There is nothing to let down. I just added a photo of the hem inside (final photo) to show you the finishing. This piece is completely lined with the satin.
