Pliner 'Grace' thong sandals were crafted in the early 2000s in the mountains of Italy by artisans, and are designed with jet stones, rhinestones, velvet, and suede. These spectacular and elegant sandals will elevate your evening look while providing designed comfort with their plush velvet insole lining. DESIGNER BACKGROUND NOTE: From the Donald J. Pliner brand's beginnings in 1989, it championed its Italian-made shoe lines and also subsequent product lines made in Spain. However, to stay competitive after the 2008 recession, the brand shifted most of its production to China after 2010 and sold a majority stake to Castanea Partners in 2011. By 2019, Castanea Partners sold the company to Studio H 33, ending Donald J. Pliner's legacy with his eponymous company. SIZING: this US size 9.5 runs large and is comparable to a size 10.
