VINTAGE 1979 SEARS ROEBUCK MERRY MUSHROOM TEAPOT MADE IN JAPAN
This charming vintage ceramic teapot is from Sears’ iconic Merry Mushroom collection, which was produced from 1970 to 1987. The teapot features the signature pattern of a cluster of three mushrooms surrounded by fronds of leaves on a crisp white ceramic body.
Year:1979
Maker:Sears, Roebuck and Co.
Origin:Made in Japan
Pattern:Merry Mushroom - arguably Sears’ largest and most successful line of kitchen coordinates from the 1970s and 1980s
Classic mushroom motif with red spotted caps, brown stems, and green foliage
Colors Distinctive yellow/gold lid and handle with brown gradient effect
Size:Approximately 6¼” tall from spout to handle
Good vintage condition with normal age-appropriate wear. Please note there is a small chip on the spout as shown in the photos. The ceramic shows some minor crazing typical of pieces from this era, but the colorful mushroom design remains vibrant and the overall piece displays beautifully.
The Merry Mushroom pattern is highly sought after by collectors of 1970s kitchen décor and retro enthusiasts. This teapot would make an excellent addition to any Merry Mushroom collection or serve as a charming standalone piece for cottagecore or retro kitchen styling. The whimsical mushroom design perfectly captures the cottagecore aesthetic.
Perfect for collectors, vintage enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates the whimsical charm of 1970s design!
