Corelle are made from Vitrelle, a unique glass material developed by Corning Inc. Vitrelle consists of three layers of glass fused together, providing a lightweight yet sturdy product. The outer layers are clear glass, while the inner layer is opaque white. This three-layered glass structure is thermally bonded, making it strong and resistant to breakage, chipping, and cracking. The Vitrelle material is also known for its ability to withstand rapid temperature changes, ensuring durability even in hot and cold environments.
