Copper Tibetan Water Offering Vessel

Copper Tibetan Water Offering Vessel This vessel is copper with brass accents and is believed to date back to the 19th century. It is approximately 7.5" tall and 7" across from the end of the spout to the end of the handle, and is 4.5" in diameter. Given the age of the piece it should be used as a decor item and not to hold liquids for consumption. There is a small piece missing that would have attached to the teapot right behind the spout and, of course, with its age there is typical wear from use over the years. The technique used to make this piece is typical of those used by early coppersmiths. With its rough hewn composition and its copper patina this item would be a statment piece in any room.
