During the 1971 Apollo 14 mission around the moon, 10,000 grains of pure silver were stored aboard the spacecraft. Upon its return, the Franklin Mint used that silver to produce these small commemorative coins. One side of the coin shows the face of the moon and the other side tells the store or this coin's origins. This one comes with its own Certificate of Authenticity and both are in a Mylar protective pouch. So, this coin's content went to the moon and back. A nice and unusual collectable.
