@kathydcbryan hi! I think it should be fine! The snuggest area of the top is under the armpits which measures at 18 inches when lying flat (but is pretty stretchy) and the rest of the top flares out from there. The hem width is 31 inches. It should fit fairly loose on anyone who typically wears a size medium. Hope that helps!
