As shown in photos strap is broken but can be taken to a Coach outlet to be repaired. Otherwise in beautiful condition and the inside is like new. Long strap can be adjusted or can be removed to wear as a shoulder bag. I would describe the overall color as a dark brown, leaning maroon (with pink and snake print accents, as you can see). I love everything about this purse. It reminds me of one my Barbie/MyScene dolls had back in the early 2000's hehe! *From non-smoking home*
