jhunting @kendrabeeler62 it absolutely should! I actually only wore it a handful of times, and it always worked well and kept time perfectly. The battery died around 2013 (around 6-7 years after it was purchased, I believe) and I just never got around to replacing it, but there was no damage to the watch that would have me question the inner workings!
