landosumme Hey! The order was canceled but I’m assuming you are keeping the telescope? I also shipped the eye piece separately. What is your plan?

inspirejoy @landosumme I had messaged Poshmark and asked them not to release the payment until I received the piece, because I didn't have any guarantee that you would send it. They replied and asked if I had received anything yet and I hadn't, and 2 days later they said that they had cancelled the order and not to send back the telescope, that the situation had been settled so I thought they had paid you. I apologize, if I knew they hadn't I would have contacted you. I did receive the eyepiece

dlj2j Hello :)..ok, so Posh has a set in place “flat” rate for shipping. I was just wondering..how is it i get $4.99 shipping rates offered to me by people?? How do you sellers extend that offer?? Just curious. Thank you

inspirejoy @dlj2j hi! So the shipping thing can be a little confusing. Sellers can offer you discounted shipping ($4.99), but as a buyer, you can't request it when sending an offer. I think Poshmark does it that way because the shipping discount is paid for by the seller, so the seller is the only one that can offer it. I do wish buyers could request it though--it would definitely make things simpler.

inspirejoy @dlj2j one thing you can do that I do, is just add what you want to buy to a bundle & send the seller a message asking if they will do discounted shipping. Another way, since the shipping discount is $1.79 off the full price, you can offer $2 less than what you originally planned on to make it up. That way you can send the offer. I do that if I've missed an offer sent to me & want to offer the same price they did--you're getting about $2 off whether it's out of the shipping or the item price.☺

inspirejoy @dlj2j that is true! I probably should have added to send them a message just letting them know that's why you are offering less. I actually did just that earlier this evening and let the seller know and she accepted right away😊! I know some sellers can get a bit jaded because we get some seriously ridiculous offers on a daily basis😄. I try to be patient because I know that not everyone realizes that Posh takes 20% of our profits (even more if the price is >$15)!
