Cleminson's Galagray Ware Hearts & Fans Shape Complete Lazy Susan
Cleminson's was a southern California pottery company started by George & Betty Cleminson, with a pie bird designed by Betty. Cleminson Pottery was produced from 1941 to 1963 when it was closed due to competition with Japanese imports.
This is a complete lazy susan serving set with the original wooden turntable. An exaggerated heart shape dish is about 7" wide, 5-1/2" deep. It alternates on the lazy susan with a fan shape dish. This dish is about 7" across the wide portion, 6" deep. The sides of both shapes are 1-1/2" high. The round center bowl is 3-3/4" across, and just a little higher than the surrounding bowls. Each dish is marked with the Cleminson's Pottery Galagray green hallmark. The wooden turntable is stained a brick red. It is 16" edge to edge, with about a 1/2" raised rim to hold the serving bowls in place. It is about 2-3/8" high. The top surface has some light scuffing from the bowls - no scratches, chips, or splits. This 8 piece set is in exceptionally nice condition. Two of the dishes have minor chips, shown in photos.
