These mugs were part of a 1970s Nestle Nescafe marketing campaign to promote their instant coffee as the world's best-selling. They were offered to consumers who sent in the inner seal from a jar of Nescafé instant coffee, along with a small fee. These mugs are considered collectible items. The mug is made of clear, thick glass and features the Western Hemisphere on one side and the Eastern Hemisphere on the other, though the very bottom of South America is typically cut off.
