Clarks Black Leather Extralight Dress Oxfords 9

Clarks are known for quality craftsmanship and comfort, and so when my kiddo needed a new pair of black dress shoes, I patted myself on the back for scoring a deal on this pair. Originally priced at well over $150, this pair of new old stock lace-ups was an amazing find: The leather is buttery soft, the Extralight outsoles have excellent tread but seem to weigh almost nothing, they appear to be hand-stitched, and save for a tiny bit of peeling in the interior due to age (see tongue picture for example), they’re absolutely perfect. Except. These shoes are labeled as “US8, EU41,” which—had I been paying more attention—I would’ve realized are not the same sizes. 🤦🏻‍♀️ My kid wears an 8, and an EU41 is actually a men’s size US9. They were listed as an 8 and they’re far too big. So these are beautiful, but useless to us. Do YOU wear a men’s size US9? I’ve got some incredible shoes for you, cheap! Truly these are gorgeous and versatile (and so soft!), and I would love to see someone get some use out of them.
