Civil War Major General George E Pickett T-shirt Size M Screen Stars Best USA Major General George Edward Pickett was a career U.S. Army officer who became a prominent Confederate general during the American Civil War, known for leading the titular "Pickett's Charge" at the Battle of Gettysburg, a disastrous and bloody assault on Union lines. A graduate of West Point, he fought in the Mexican-American War before resigning to join the Confederacy. After Gettysburg, his division suffered another defeat at the Battle of Five Forks, which contributed to the Confederate retreat and surrender at Appomattox.
