Circa 1920's Solid Australian Opal Ring 10.13 Carats (GIA APPRAISAL INCLUDED)

Art Deco era, Class A, solid, Australian white opal and early round brilliant diamond cocktail ring, with detailed scrollwork setting, and milgrain edging, handmade in platinum. The setting spans approximately 23.58mm by 19.19mm across the finger; it measures approximately 3.80mm at the shoulder of the shank, tapering to 1.36mm in width at the base. The ring is a size 4, and weighs a total of 7.80 grams. Stamped "PLAT"; the metal was tested and determined to be platinum. A maker stamp, which appears to read "RID" has been partially worn away. In excellent overall condition; circa 1920s. RIM SET IN PLATINUM WITH: One (1) rectangular cushion-shaped, cabochon cut, translucent, Australian, natural white opal.
