Christopher Ross Butterfly Belt Buckle Massive 8in L with Snakeskin Strap 1980s

This fantastic and super-rare butterfly belt buckle was designed by NY artist Christopher Ross in the 1980s. The artist enjoyed a resurgence in popularity in the fashion blogs and magazines after being used by Patricia Field in the Sex & The City Movies. Made from 24ct gold plated metal, this buckle is substantial and measures appx 8in L x 5in H and includes a Christopher Ross pink snakeskin belt strap. Strap is 1.5in H x 37in total length and best fits waist between 27in and 32in comfortably. Signed CHRISTOPHER ROSS 1983. Preowned/vintage with minimal signs of prior use and wear: light surface scratches to the buckle, only evident upon close inspection. Belt strap shows some wrinkling from storage.
