From what I understand can be worn as a necklace. it comes with a soft sheer strap that goes through the top of the lid to secure around your neck. Lipstick has been used a couple of times but has been sanitized and I I've cleaned the lipstick by taking just a tiny bit of area off the top down to new clean lipstick if that makes sense-:) The sheer strap it comes with to hang as an accessory is brand new, never worn.
