lovethisworld @4youbuys Hi, Dior fashion jewelry is a base metal (usually a silver alloy) with gold tone finish. Dior fine jewelry is stamped with the gold purity or sterling. I have some Dior sterling silver pieces listed. Those are solid sterling.

lovethisworld @4youbuys I have seen listings on many apps that mistaken gold tone for real gold plating, which confuses buyers. The fashion jewelry can be taken to a jeweler to be gold electroplated, but they would add the gold purity stamp & give you some sort of proof/certificate. I hope that helps!

lovethisworld yes, it's the same as electroplating. I've seen it on Dior rings and watches- again signed with the gold purity. Some have a base metal of sterling. The gold-tone plating on the costume jewelry is different.
