Chanel Woven/Quilted (Matelassé) CC Pendant Necklace—Rope Twist CC Pendant

Pristine vintage Chanel “woven/quilted (matelassé) CC pendant” necklace—collectors also call it the rope-twist CC pendant. This version is on a rolo chain with an oversized front spring-ring the pendant hangs from (a signature construction on late-’80s/early-’90s Chanel pieces). Motif: Interlocking CC with a woven/quilted (matelassé) texture—looks like a braided ribbon running through each C. Chain/closure: Medium rolo chain, large front spring-ring connector; small oval cartouche tag near the ring. Plating: Thick, high-polish yellow-gold plate typical of the period. Dating Era: Late 1980s to early 1990s (Victoire de Castellane period for Chanel costume jewelry). Type: 24 k gold electroplate over a copper or base-metal alloy. Gold Plate Thickness: typically 20–30 microns, Color: Deep “buttery” gold tone. Excellent vintage condition, some scratches on the small oval CHANEL/Made in France tag by the ring.
