Chanel Tortoiseshell chain and suede tote bag very good condition with no sign of having been worn. Circa 1997-1999 Virginie Viard was the art director at Chanel during the inception of this purse. She had started Chanel in where she was most gifted at the time, in the the Embroidery department. Virgie worked her way to become Karl Lagerfeld's right hand women and had even followed him to Chloé. She returned to Chanel in 1997. This piece was conceived in her return with Chanel CC’s embroidered on the suede, something only a skilled craftsman-women could concieve.
