A rare Chanel evening gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld for the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. This striking piece captures the house’s timeless elegance with its refined Grecian drape and modern graphic contrast.
The gown is crafted in ivory silk chiffon, softly pleated and draped across a one-shoulder neckline, accented by a wide black satin band that extends into the waist. From the waistband, layers of flowing black silk chiffon cascade asymmetrically over a slim underdress, creating graceful movement and dimension. A silver Chanel medallion button at the waist adds a discreet yet iconic signature detail.
This gown was a highlight of the season and was worn on the runway by Sasha Pivovarova. It later appeared in editorials and on red carpets, seen on Mia Wasikowska, Michelle Williams, and Claudia Schiffer, further cementing its place as one of the standout designs of the collection.
Very good condition. No major flaws. The only sign of wear is a faint yellowing under one armpit, which is barely visible when worn and naturally concealed by the gown’s draped construction.
Labeled FR36, measurements: bust 34", waist 27", length 59".
