Peruvian Chancay Textile Dolls Birthing Scene. Peru, 1100-1450. Pre-Columbian grouping shows a woman giving birth, a midwife at the ready, and two more to support. Each constructed of original Chancay textiles likely 600 or more years old. The color and patterns in this grouping is exquisite. Approximately 7 x 6”.

For likely being several hundred years old, this specimen of Chancay culture is in wonderful shape. Still very rich in color and stitching in tact. Wow.
