Wonderful collectible match holder with striker. In the late 19th and early 20th Century, these types of match strikers were widely used in French pubs, cafe's and bistros as forms of advertising. This is a newer striker and is in excellent condition. It has strong, clear graphics on a ceramic form with a ribbed striker. Please note that Safety Matches will not work. "Strike Anywhere" matches, readily found on sites like Amazon will work on this striking surface. Measures approximately 3 1/2" tall x 4 3/4" base
