Celtic standing Cross of Moone made in Ireland by Forde Crafts Ltd, Kilcullen. Has remnants of a sticker with the description of the Cross of Moone in Kildare Ireland and the sticker from the Forde Craft shop in Kilcullen. Made of hand cast composite stone and plaster. It’s rustic in nature so the reliefs are muted. It measures 11.25” inches long and is 2.25” inches at the base. I recommend hanging or leaning as its proportions make it a bit top heavy. No longer produced, as the manufacturer, Forde Crafts, closed in 2007. These are getting rare and hard to find. History: The Cross of Moone was carved in the 9th century and stands 17 "feet tall at Moone, Co. Kildare, Ireland. The East Face base shows Adam and Eve, the sacrifice of Isaac, and Daniel in the Lion's den.
